SkyMine

Introducing a much better and less expensive way to capture carbon dioxide

SkyMine® is a patented technology that can be implemented for new industrial manufacturing plants, refineries, power plants, and steel mills, or this can be retrofitted to current stationary emitting sources.

The premise of SkyMine® is to remove carbon dioxide (CO2), acid gases such as sulfur oxides (SOx) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), and other heavy metals from industrial waste streams. Skyonic captures these harmful pollutants from flue gases and transform them into solid, marketable products, such as sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), hydrochloric acid, and bleach.

The first SkyMine® facility opened October 2014 in San Antonio, Texas at Capitol Aggregates cement plant. To date, the plant equipped with SkyMine® technology has reduced its carbon-emissions by 15 percent – 83,000 tons of CO2 annually.
