electrical engineering. However, the emphasis is on chemical
engineering.
The engineers we hire will
have the chance to operate, optimize and develop processes for
Skyonic's SkyMine™ Process. A range of technical proficiencies are
preferred, since numerous disciplines come into play, including:
chemical process development, environmental science, power-plant

Process Engineer I Position Description:
Operates
and sustains unit operations required to produce products efficiently
with high quality and low cost. Uses analytical equipment for process
analysis. Troubleshoots process and equipment problems and implements
corrective action. Maintains, repairs and calibrates electronic
equipment including control and monitoring systems. Performs tasks
associated with the repair and maintenance of equipment including
taking apart and reassembling components or replacing parts. Creates
and communicates standard operating procedures, technical papers and
technical presentations.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in
Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred. 1 to 5 years of relevant engineering
experience in any of the following fields or industries:
electrochemical processes and equipment; chlor-alkali production;
semiconductor processing; industrial gas generation, handling and
storage; gas-liquid separations; process control and monitoring. Key
skills include:
Equipment operation and monitoring
Equipment troubleshooting and repair
Process integration and control systems
Sustaining operations using statistical process control
Chemical analysis of liquid and gas samples
Driving costs out of equipment and processes
This position calls for a hands-on approach and the highest caliber effort from both sides of the desk.
Process Engineer II Position Description:
Characterizes
unit operations and develops procedures required to produce products
efficiently with high quality and low cost. Uses analytical equipment
for process analysis. Troubleshoots process and equipment problems and
implements corrective action. Researches and specifies the purchase of
new equipment and or upgrades to existing equipment. Develops project
plans and budgets. Creates and communicates standard operating
procedures, technical papers and technical presentations.
Position Requirements:
A
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Masters
preferred. 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in any of the
following fields or industries: electrochemical processes and
equipment; chlor-alkali production; semiconductor processing;
industrial gas generation, handling and storage; mass and heat transfer
operations; process control and monitoring. Key knowledge and skills
include:
Process characterization using design of experiments
Sustaining operations using statistical process control
Chemical analysis of liquid and gas samples
GE Intellution or Lab View
Project management
Process and equipment design and engineering experience
Effective oral communication, technical writing and industry networking
Driving costs out of equipment and processes
Ability to use computer tools for CAD, SPC and DOE
This position calls for a hands-on approach and the highest caliber effort from both sides of the desk.
